Project Manager (m/f/d) Dry Container Monitoring

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Hapag-Lloyd aims to digitalize its container fleet by applying state-of-the art GPS tracking devices. These devices will enable next level transparency in the global supply chains for us and our customers. Come on board now to design the future of transport visibilityaround the Hapag-Lloyd LIVE product at Hapag-Lloyd

The task is to drive the commercial product definition around hinterland transport visibility. The definition will include setting up a project group with stakeholders from different internal departments to align commercial requirements and operational information needs. Along with the product definition you will coordinate customer research activities to ensure the product meets market demand. Using the insights you gained, you are scanning the market for potential partners to develop ETA prediction capabilities and take the GPS information we collect to the next level.

  • Hosting product development and innovation workshops to identify and challenge product ideas for transport visibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating project meetings, facilitate result documentation and act as PMO for GPS information processing related to inland transports
  • Acting as single Point of Entry for our technology partners and merge all strands in Hapag-Lloyd.
  • Building the product development plan along the milestones with colleagues from IT, Sales and Equipment
  • Facilitating pilots with customers already using real-time information
  • Analyzing global HL processes which will be enriched with latest information to gain operational efficiency
  • Moderating the storyline to internal and external stakeholders throughout the project

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University degree in business studies, engineering, service management, or similar degrees.
  • First professional experience within different functional areas of supply chain telematics.
  • Experiences as business expert in IT projects, their usual proceedings and development cycles.
  • Competences for handling large amounts of information in a structured way as well as skills in the popular information analytic tools such as QlikView and WebFocus.
  • Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in business process analyses and performance measurement
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • Fluent in English
